Ether is the second most popular cryptocurrency. Ethereum transaction is way quicker, it can do its process within a few seconds. It uses Et-Hash. 

Ether had performed exceptionally well in recent years. Ether began from nowhere in 2015 and is now valued at around $2k. 

The smart contract feature has made it work efficiently. Although there is one disadvantage of Ether, and that is the GAS fee required for the complex tasks to be solved, making it even more expensive for developers. 

Unlike Bitcoin, Ether doesn't have a limited amount. Whereas the supply for Bitcoin is restricted to twenty-one million.

Conclusion:


The market capitalization of Ethereum (Ether) has been quite volatile. It has risen from around 0.9 billion USD straight to 73 billion USD and from 108 billion to 14 billion, which is roughly 10 times less than the former.

We are now well understood a fact that the lowest or the highest market cap of a year is usually noticed either at the start of a year or at the end of a year. 

Ether saw an important increase in its price during 2017. There was a ceaseless increase in price from $308 to $1066 between October 2017 and January 2018. 

The price of an Ether sojourned below 1066 till the start of 2021, the year when Ether got a swift rise in its value. 

Like Bitcoin, the price of Ether rose perpendicularly from October 2020 to January 2021. This time, the price grew from $380 to $1385.
