Is Ford Reliable Enough To Drive?

Ford was founded by Henry Ford, an American businessman. The manufacturing plant was made in Detroit, a motor city in Michigan, US. 

Damn-Fact: Henry Ford's idea of mass production significantly contributed to the economy of America during the economical hardship due to World War 1. All it was due to the 'assembly-line' of 1913, implemented by Henry for his plant. The 'assembly-line' was then implemented by several other plants. 

Is Ford Reliable?

Ford' hatchback car reliability:

Though Ford has few to many issues with Fiesta, Focus, and Explorer. 

Let's take into an example of the entry-level hatchback like Figo. Ford Figo was quite conventional if compared with other cars such as i20, Swift, and even Tata cars. Figo is comparatively better in terms of field and economy. Steering experience is quite good in terms of power and control. Looking at the interior, it is featured with enough infotainment for the need. 

Though you cannot compare this American model with the German model because the German cars are made to run on autobahn all day long, moreover the price range is too high as compared to Ford. On the ground of field economy, Figo works pretty well amongst its competitions. 

Conclusion: 

As per the consumer report, the average vote given to Ford Figo is 4.1 out of 5. This entry-level Ford hatch is very much reliable for daily commutation without any trouble. 

Ford' SUV car reliability:

Let's move to Ford Endeavor, a beast SUV off-road car. The recent Ford Endeavor's exterior is quite charming as well as the interior got many features. 

Comparing it with Toyota Fortuner, Ford's side got a more powerful engine as well as scores much more in terms of interior features and comfort. 

Side by side comparison of Ford Endeavor & Toyota Fortuner:

The price of Ford Endeavor is pretty much more than Fortuner. It is less reliable if you refer to reliability as the cost of ownership. 

On the other hand, if reliability means the interior, exterior and the probability of car part getting damage due to unpredicted reason, then Ford Endeavor got a slight edge over Fortuner as it is more comfortable, have softer suspension which makes it easier to handle on bumps and speed breaker. According to a safety report, Toyota Fortuner is safer than Ford Endeavor at the time is a collision. But the probability of the car part getting damaged due to unknown reasons is almost null in Endeavor. 

But the fact is that still people purchase Toyota Fortuner more than Ford Endeavor and it is due to several reasons mentioned below. 

The reason why more people choose Fortuner instead of Ford Endeavor:

• Spare parts are available at a lesser price than that of Ford. 
• Resale value is a lot more than Ford. 
• More mileage than Ford. 
• The first-gen Ford Endeavor didn't go well as compared to Fortuner.
• The sale services of Fortuner are quite better than Ford Endeavor. Ford didn't do the right amount of advertising.

Ford Endeavor is a reliable off-road car. Consumers' average review is 4.5 out of 5. Though the new Endeavor didn't sell well enough due to less advertising and poor sale services. Overall Endeavor provides a better ride.

Ford's muscle car reliability:

Another Ford car I have discussed is Ford Mustang, a legendary and beautifully crafted muscle car. 

It has got an amazing engine at less price but poor build quality as per the owners. 

The recent generation Mustang is a lot better than the mid-first gen Mustang. Some owners reported having issues with the manual in their Mustang. 

Conclusion: 

The average consumer report is 3.5 out of 5 as for muscle cars. Ford Mustang is plentiful and due to its less price than other muscle/sports cars, Ford Mustang sold out a lot. Though there are some issues as compared to the good side of this car, not much problem. 

Overall Conclusion

Ford is pretty much reliable in terms of its performance and engine. For an owner, a Ford car can be quite fun to ride. 

Some good reasons for why Ford cars are reliable:

• Its sturdy build quality and fine interior as well as exterior. Its muscular design adds charms. 
• Seating and comfort, as well as many airbags, installed. 
• Nicely calibrated steering wheel for a joyous ride.

Some reasons why Ford cars are NOT reliable:
