Which Is Better GTX 1070 or RTX 2060: Benchmark

If you are a member of  #pcmasterrace just like me then you most probably have heard about GeForce GTX 1070 and GeForce RTX 2060 Graphics cards by Nvidia. So here we are going to find out which one out of these GPUs is the best for your new gaming PC or for your new setup.

GPU refer to graphic card and it stand for graphic processing unit. The most basic responsibility of GPU is to form the graphics or better say images on screen. GPU is found inside the case of PC. While gaming, the temperature of the GPU can go up as high enough to burn your skin despite of well-fitted fan in it.

So first of all let's talk about the specs of these GPUs. 

Let's compare the difference between GTX 1070 and GTX 1070ti as well as RTX 2060 and RTX 2060ti.

Conclusion:

 

 We recommend you to prefer RTX 2060 and RTX 2060 Super over GTX 1070 and GTX 1070Ti. Not just because of the performance and theoretical specs, but due to other justifications...

• RTX 2060 6GB scored 14177 in Passmark points, hence beating both GTX 1070 and GTX 1070Ti.

• RTX 2060 is $107 cheaper than GTX 1070Ti and $160 cheaper than GTX 1070.

• RTX 2060 Super is miles ahead of GTX 1070 and GTX 1070Ti in terms of performance.

• RTX 2060 and RTX 2060S have RT cores therefore they support real-time ray tracing.    

• RTX 2060 and RTX 2060S are based on NVIDIA's latest Turing architecture therefore they can use the all-new NVENC HEVC encoder for screen recording.

• Moreover, RTX 2060 is newer and advanced than the GTX 1070.

Though GTX 1070 is costlier than RTX 2060 despite the fact that RTX 2060 is more advanced than GTX 1070. The reason it is more expensive is that RTX 2060 is due to its rarity in the market.    

Nvidia’s RTX 2060 Super GPU is a renewed version of their RTX 2060 that began just 10 months earlier. With this repetition, NVIDIA is expecting to attack AMD’s recent RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT with a greater sense position compared to 2060. 

The GTX 1070 is Nvidia’s second graphics card (after 1080) to feature the new 16 nm Pascal architecture. As a result of the die shrink from 28 to 16 nm, Pascal-based cards are more energy-efficient than their forerunners. The GTX 1070 is fixed at just 150 Watts.
